Skiers are made in the summer!

The saying holds true - the time between the competition season is when any endurance athlete can make the biggest fitness gains. Here in Park City, our athletes are blessed with a multitude of options to build their base for the season ahead. A large portion of our PCSS Skimo athletes are jumping into the mountain bike season this summer, and many have already started racing. Beyond biking, some of our kids mix it with track, soccer, lacrosse and more.

Our Masters athletes have also not been sitting around - with some of them continuing to ski throughout the spring, others putting in big mileage on the trail, and two going as far as China to race - Harald and Charlotte Casebourne Stock (two of our competitive masters Skimo athletes) posted impressive results in the Great Wall trail marathon in China - 10th male and 1st female!
To supplement the endurance sports, we offer a strength training program for youth skimo athletes ages 13 - 18, as well as a separate strength program for our masters athletes. Our summer block for both programs starts up June 8. Register here for youth and here for masters.

We believe that our strength offerings are both excellent ways to begin the build towards the winter season, as well as great compliments to in-season sports. Our athletes in the spring sessions already showed huge improvements and were excited to build upon them throughout the summer and fall. Reach out to Adam Loomis to learn more!
