Snowboard Stoke Check

Rick Shimpeno
December 24, 2025
Snowboard Director Rick Shimpeno shares that the PCSS snowboard program is officially underway for the 2025–26 season, and the energy is high. The team got its first taste of snow on Friday, December 5th, getting into the parks at Woodward Park City, and it was great to finally be back on snow training. The Fundamentals program kicked off on Saturday, December 13th, with Park City Mountain delivering a park ready to ride with limited snow-making opportunities.

Global and National Team athletes also got on snow recently at Park City Mountain, with the coaching staff fully engaged and ready to get to work. With contest season approaching, having two strong training venues has been a huge win, especially for the many younger riders eager to step into competition this year. The season officially launches January 14th with a home event at Woodward Park City, and registration remains open with spots still available. The team is fired up and motivated, looking ahead to a strong winter. Think Snow.
