After a wild and memorable snow year, some are calling the “best worst season ever”, we want to extend a sincere thank you to our coaches, athletes, and families. Your positive attitudes, flexibility, and hard work made this season a success. We also appreciate everyone who joined us at the end-of-season celebration, it was a great way to wrap up the winter together. Here’s to another great year ahead.

As we transition into the offseason, our Freeski and Freeride programs are turning their focus to summer airbag and water ramp training. We are currently finalizing schedules, with registration expected to go live in early May.

We are targeting the week of June 8–12 to begin airbag and water ramp sessions. To make this possible, we will need the support of approximately 30 volunteers to help roll out and set up the airbag on June 1. If you’re available to assist, please sign up through your volunteer signups page in Playmetrics.

If you have any questions about summer training, please reach out to your head coach or the program director. Finally, we’d like to recognize a few standout performances from our Freeski and Freeride athletes this season.

Freeride
We had three athletes qualify for Junior Freeride Championships in Kicking Horse, BC—an outstanding accomplishment. Cole Menlove and Noah Mendes both put down impressive runs and remained competitive throughout the event, though neither advanced to finals.

On the women’s side, Savanah Ramsey not only qualified for finals but also earned a podium finish with fifth place. We’re excited to see what’s next for all three athletes.

Freeski
It was an exceptional year for many of our Freeski athletes. We’d like to give special recognition to those who caught the attention of the U.S. Team and received Gold Camp invitations.

Emma Wann, our only pipe athlete to earn a Gold Camp invite, had a breakthrough season—competing in her first FIS pipe event and earning a second-place finish.

Several slopestyle athletes also received invitations based on strong performances on the Futures Tour and NorAm circuits. Female athletes include Rayne McClure, Ellie Derosier, and Kaya Bigney. Male athletes include Adrian Dipietra, Gavin Higashi, and Hampton Knight.

This is a significant achievement and a valuable development opportunity for these athletes. We’re excited to see their continued progression.
