The New Season Begins!

May 27, 2026
As we wrapped up another incredible winter season, the momentum hasn't slowed down for the Alpine Team. In true ski racing fashion, we've transitioned straight from one season into the next, with athletes, coaches, and staff already hard at work preparing for what's ahead.

Registration Dates for 2026–27
We're excited to announce that registration for next season opens soon:

  • Alpine Team Registration: June 15
  • Youth Development Registration: July 1

We encourage families to register early as we gear up for another year on snow. Reach out to your respective group coaches with any questions and check out our website for new program offerings and pricing. We are also working hard to finalize our coaching staff for next season and will update as soon as we have those positions filled.

NEW this season
For those that missed the earlier announcement, we're super excited to offer a new program for the 2026-27 season, Home Team at the UOP. This program is an extension of our Youth Development programs, Skillz and Thrillz and West Peak Warriors. It's designed to offer a flexible, high-quality training program for young alpine athletes who want strong coaching and consistent skill development without committing to a full-time, traditional race program. Designed for athletes ages 9–15, this weekday, after-school program is ideal for multi-sport athletes and skiers looking for a balanced path into alpine training.

Athletes may choose to train 1, 2, or 3 days per week on Eccles Mountain. Sessions include a mix of technical training in GS and SL gates, skill-based courses with terrain and obstacles, and free skiing when conditions allow. The program is coached by Forest Carey and emphasizes long-term athlete development, confidence, versatility, and a continued love of skiing. Check out the website or reach out to Forest Carey for more information!

Back on Snow for FIS and U16s
Our FIS Team is already back on snow at Mount Hood, focusing on fundamentals with the main emphasis on slower-speed, highly controlled technical skiing, allowing athletes to refine core movement patterns and build strong habits through productive training sessions. The group has spent a significant amount of time freeskiing and progressing through a wide variety of drill work and drill-course variations, showing strong energy and progress.

The U16 athletes have also returned to on snow training and have shared equally positive feedback. The group kicked things off with a strong GS block with excellent snow conditions and lots of volume. The athletes have brought great energy to camp, and everything has been running smoothly both on and off the hill. The athletes will finish up the camp with a SL block before heading home on Friday.

Coaches & Staff Preparing for what's ahead
Off the hill, our coaches and staff have been busy attending USSS Congress and IMD meetings over the past few weeks, helping finalize plans and details for the upcoming season. As always, we're excited about the direction of the program and grateful for the continued support from our athletes, families, and community. The transition into next season is already well underway, and we can't wait to see what this next season brings.
Have a great start to summer, and we'll see you on the hill soon!
