Freestyle Moguls Fresh Off a Trip to the Okanagn Valley

Despite a slow start to winter, the FIS Freestyle team made the most of available conditions through productive preseason training and FIS competitions. Winter arrived late in BC, and just before our trip, the weather cooperated, allowing Apex Resort to make snow and open their mogul course as the first skiable run on the mountain. Thanks to their support of freestyle, we completed three productive days on the jump site, followed by four solid days on the mogul course.

US Selections in a warm Winter Park was our next stop. Organizers successfully built a mogul course just before the event despite challenging weather. The PCSS FIS Elite team fielded 17 athletes, with strong moguls finals performances from Anabel Ayad, Dory Michaud, Evelyn Harris, Kareema Wakim, Taylor Lewis, Sami Worthington, Lenna Persson, and Jackson Crockett. Congrats to all of the athletes for their hard pre-season work and early-season competitions.

Freestyle All Skills training has begun at PCM! We’re psyched to be back on snow with our athletes, even with the limited terrain. We’ll be spending the first few sessions getting our ski legs back and sharpening our fundamentals, so we’re ready to rip once bigger and better terrain is available.

Athlete jackets are in! Please see your Playmetrics inbox for pick-up dates and times at the UOP.
