March Alpine Update
March was a busy and exciting month for the entire Alpine team, as championship season hit full stride across all age groups. It was great to see so many athletes finding their form and putting together some of their best skiing of the year.

The FIS team was on the road as usual, competing across Western Region Junior Championships, Rocky/Central Championships, U18 Nationals, a makeup race at Sugar Bowl, and NorAm Finals. It was a strong month all around, with multiple podium finishes and several athletes taking the top step. It’s been fun to watch this group continue to build momentum as the season wraps up at US Nationals in Vail, a Devo FIS series in Sun Valley, and spring series at Big Sky and Mammoth!

The U16 group headed to Palisades for Western Region Championships with a team of 17. They were met with some very warm conditions, but the organizers did an incredible job pulling off high-quality races. The group rose to the challenge and delivered some great results throughout the series. The highlight came on the final day, with five girls landing in the top 10 in slalom, along with two boys in the top 10 in GS. At the end of the series, seven athletes qualified for U16 Nationals, currently taking place at Grand Targhee.

The U14s traveled to Sugar Bowl for their regional championships, where warm weather once again kept everyone on their toes. The race crew did a great job adapting and moving venues as needed to make the series happen. The team brought great energy all week and put together some really solid skiing.

At the same time, another group of U14s and U16s made their way to Grand Targhee for Tri-Divisional Championships—quickly becoming a bit of a “home away from home” for the Western Region this season. After a last-minute move from Snowbasin, Targhee delivered fantastic conditions and a great event. The group took advantage, with several athletes earning their first race wins, which was great to see.

The U12 and Devo athletes wrapped up their seasons at IMD Finals at Snowbird and IMD Championships in Jackson. As has been the theme all season, both venues did an excellent job working with challenging weather and conditions to put on quality races. Snowbird stepped in to host IMD Finals when Park City mountain was no longer an option and delivered a great event.
It was especially exciting to see so many athletes finish the season strong, with a number of personal best results across all events, read on below to see all the podiums!
