Ski Jumping
Every kid dreams of flying. PCSS Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined make it real, with expert coaching, safe progression, and an environment that builds skills, character, and a passion for the sport.
What is Ski Jumping?
Ski jumping is a thrilling winter sport where athletes aim for the longest jump after descending a specially designed ramp on skis. Ski jumpers show balance and focus as they gain speed on the inrun, launch into the air, and transition smoothly to landing. In competition, distance and style combine to determine each score. At PCSS, we teach fundamental skills through fun, engaging methods that help athletes progress safely in the sport.
What is Nordic Combined?
Nordic combined is an exciting winter sport that blends cross-country skiing and ski jumping. In competition, athletes first complete a ski jumping event, which sets the start order for a pursuit-style cross-country race. We encourage all young ski jumpers to build their skills as Nordic combined athletes. Many of our jumpers also train with PCSS Cross Country programs, gaining well-rounded skiing abilities and versatility.
