Kickers & Gliders
Cross Country, Ski Jumping, Ski Mountaineering • Youth Development • 7-12 years

Program Details

Kickers & Gliders is an engaging cross country skiing program for kids ages 7–12, perfect for beginners and those with some experience. Offered in 1- or 2-day options, it teaches both classic and skate techniques, so participants will need both types of skis. Sessions focus on skill development through games, drills, and fun activities in an inclusive environment.

Kids interested in racing can participate in two free untimed Cocoa Loppet events, as well as local races like the Wasatch Citizen’s Series and the IMD Youth Ski Festival, with coach support along the way. An optional November session adds dryland training—agility, games, hiking, and more—to help kids stay active and ready for the snow season.

Keep the momentum going before the snow flies! Our optional November add-on session gets kids moving with fun dryland activities designed to build strength, balance, and endurance. Through agility drills, bounding, hiking, games, and circuit-style challenges, athletes stay active, develop key skills, and connect with teammates—all while having a blast outdoors. Add November Dryland as an additional fee during winter registration—it’s the perfect way to prepare for a great winter on skis.
