Small Hills
Ski Jumping Summer • 7-14 years
Program Details
Small Hills ski jumping introduces young athletes to the sport and helps them progress in a fun, supportive environment focused on foundational skills and all-around athletic development. Summer training takes place on the 10–20m hills and combines jumping with age-appropriate dryland designed to build agility, balance, coordination, and general strength. Athletes progress at their own pace while learning safe technique, equipment management, and the basics of flight.
Each summer session includes one team-building outing after a jump practice, as well as an optional camp (see Summer Camp schedule). Coaching emphasizes motor-skill development, confidence, and positive feedback. This program offers an ideal starting point for athletes preparing to advance into the Devo and Competitive Team pathway.

based on your schedule and your athlete’s needs. Each session includes two days per week of jumping, plus one optional camp that offers additional jumps, competition, and new experiences. When you register for all three summer blocks, you will automatically receive 15% off
the total program cost at checkout—no code needed.

Frequently Asked Questions
What skills are required to participate?
Athletes should be intermediate skiers who can manage their equipment independently. Confident parallel turning and safe stopping are important. No prior ski jumping experience is needed. What should athletes bring?
Please bring water, athletic shoes, sunscreen, snacks, weather-appropriate clothing and a helmet. What equipment do athletes need?
Ski Jumping athletes need properly sized ski jumping equipment to train safely. Because this gear is highly specialized, most families choose to rent club equipment through PCSS. Rental includes skis, boots, and a suit for the full training season, along with all fitting, maintenance, and storage. Rental equipment is included in our pricing.
Athletes may start in their own alpine equipment—especially younger or newer jumpers—and coaches will let families know when it’s time to transition into ski jumping gear. What memberships and licenses do I need?
US Ski and Snowboard licenses are not required for athletes competing on 40 meter hills and below. We highly recommend you stay in the loop by signing up for Nordic Combined USA's newslettery! as well as becoming USA Ski Jumping members. $25 paid membership allows participation in events like the US Cup, Junior Series, and Virtual Nationals. Free memberships are also available. Join Today!
Summer Camps
Athletes attending a summer camp during a session they are not enrolled in will pay additional coaching fees for the camp.
