FIS
Train to Compete • 16-21 years
Program Details
The FIS Team is designed for athletes ages 16 and older (as of Dec 31) who are ready to compete at the highest levels of alpine racing. First-year athletes (YOB 2009) receive guidance on FIS competition and selection, with summer conditioning beginning in June and up to 6 days a week of on-snow training during the season.
Second- and third-year athletes (YOB 2007–2008) follow a year-round conditioning and training plan overseen by coaches and the High-Performance Director, tailored to their racing goals.
Post-Graduate athletes, with several years of FIS experience, focus full-time on skiing, conditioning, and nutrition while targeting elite national and international competitions. Many pursue NCAA or USCSA opportunities, with potential advancement toward the National Team.

Are You a Post Graduate?
If you’re taking a gap year (or two) to lower points and prepare for NCAA Division I skiing, PCSS offers one of the few dedicated PG programs in the country. Athletes train without the limits of a school schedule, maximizing volume in the prep period and focusing full-time on skiing, conditioning, and nutrition. Small-group coaching provides a personalized plan built around individual goals—whether targeting national races, international starts, or collegiate competition. A key advantage of PCSS is athlete housing at the Utah Olympic Park, creating a convenient and supportive environment for pursuing your most competitive and transformative seasons.
