Program Details

The U16 Team is a comprehensive 6-day program for athletes ages 14–16 (as of Dec 31) who are committed to advancing their ski racing to the next level. This program focuses on Intermountain Cup qualifying races and the US Ski & Snowboard's Open Series while preparing athletes for the high demands of upper-level competition.

Training emphasizes strength and conditioning, with regular screenings and participation in US Ski & Snowboard's SkillsQuest Fitness Assessment to build a strong athletic foundation. On-snow sessions take place at Utah Olympic Park, Park City Mountain, and Deer Valley, with about 70% of time dedicated to gate training and racing. Athletes also travel as a team to away races. New athletes require a ski assessment before joining.

Not Ready for 6 days?
Not every 14–16-year-old athlete is ready for the commitment of a 6-day program. Whether you are a multi-sport athlete balancing racing with other activities or started ski racing later, our 4-day and Home Team programs may be the right fit. These options follow the U14 and US Ski & Snowboard Open Track, offering strong coaching, skill progression, and racing opportunities without the demands of a full-time schedule. This pathway keeps athletes engaged in ski racing while allowing balance with school, other sports, and personal interests—while still leaving room to advance as they grow in experience and commitment.
