Program Details

The Endurance Athlete Strength & Conditioning program prepares skimo athletes for winter by building strength, stability, power, and movement efficiency in a structured, supportive environment. Offered in the spring, summer, and fall, this program provides progressive strength training designed to enhance resilience, improve uphill and downhill efficiency, and reduce injury risk. While tailored to Ski Mountaineering athletes, the program is open to any endurance athlete seeking consistent, high-quality off-season training.

Athletes may train one or two days per week each season, with discounted pricing for multi-day participation. All training takes place at the US Ski & Snowboard Center of Excellence under the guidance of Program Director, Adam Loomis and Cross Country Competition Team Head Coach, Liz Stephen. A US Ski & Snowboard general membership is required for all participants.

All Endurance Athlete Strength & Conditioning participants must hold a current non-competitor US Ski & Snowboard general membership ($40, valid July 1–June 30). Athletes can choose 1-day or 2-day-per-week options each season, with 2-day schedules offering about a 17% savings compared to single-day pricing.
