Competition Team
Train to Compete • 12+ years

Program Details

The PCSS Freeride Competition Team is designed for athletes ages 12+ who are serious about advancing their big mountain skiing and
competing in IFSA Regional and National events. Led by IFSA-certified coaches, this program provides a high-level training environment focused on advanced freeride skills, competition strategy, and individual athlete development.

Athletes train in dedicated groups (separate from the Skills Team) and are expected to compete in at least three IFSA-sanctioned competitions each season. Training emphasizes steep, technical terrain, controlled execution of airs and cliffs, line selection, and confident top-to-bottom skiing, along with trick development in the terrain park.

Good Fit

Athletes with strong all-mountain fundamentals who are ready to commit to regional and national competition, structured training, and a real event schedule.

Not the Right Fit

Athletes still building core all-mountain skills or not interested in competing. Competition here is core, not optional — the Skills Team is the better starting point.
Training Guidance
Train at Least 2 Sessions per Week
There's no strict weekly hour minimum this season. To stay sharp and competition-ready, we strongly encourage athletes to train a minimum of 2 sessions per week.
Mix & Match Location
Train two full days at Park City Mountain, or a full day paired with an evening add-on session at UOP or Woodward for best results!
No Training Over the Holiday Break
The team will not be training December 21–27. Enjoy the break with family — training resumes right after.
Competition Team Training
Add Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday to your team training for only $450 per day (56–64% savings compared to individual pricing).
