Freeski Freeride Hybrid
Learn to Train • 12+ years

Program Details

The Hybrid Team is designed for athletes who want the best of both worlds—splitting training time evenly between Freeride (Big Mountain) and Freeski (Park & Pipe). Athletes develop into well-rounded skiers with opportunities to progress on steeps, trees, powder, and natural features while also learning rails, jumps, halfpipe, and transition skills in the terrain park.

Training takes place at world-class venues including Park City Mountain, Utah Olympic Park, and Woodward Park City, giving athletes a broad foundation and exciting variety. While the program emphasizes learning, progression, and fun, athletes may also choose to compete in events ranging from Local and Regional to National and International levels in disciplines such as Big Mountain, Slopestyle, Big Air, Halfpipe, Rail Jam, and SkiCross.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the difference between the Hybrid Team and a standard freeride program?

The Hybrid Team splits time between Freeride and Freeski, so athletes split both big mountain and terrain park progression rather than focusing on just one discipline.
  • What skills does the Freeski Freeride Hybrid program cover?

Athletes develop all-around skills spanning steeps, trees, and powder on the big mountain side, plus rails, jumps, and halfpipe in the terrain park.
  • Is competition required for the Hybrid Team?

No. Competition is kept optional but is always available at every level, so athletes can compete as much or as little as they choose.
  • What age is the Freeski Freeride Hybrid program for?

The Hybrid Team is open to athletes ages 12 and up who want to build all-around skills across both freeride and freeski at world-class venues.
