2025 Town Series

The 2025 Town Series provides race opportunities for athletes in the Park City and surrounding communities. This fun series of races is available to both Alpine skiers and Ski Mountaineering (SkiMo) enthusiasts. You can sign up individually or as part of an alpine team, and you have the option to register for single races or get a discount of $25 if you register for the full series of five (5) races. 

We will also provide an alpine training opportunity the Monday before each race day, so look for that option as you register!

Race Info:

Alpine skiers should be at least intermediate level to compete. Skimo races are beginner friendly for those who know how to use their equipment.

  • Race Schedule: Jan 24, Mar 7, Mar 14, Mar 28, Apr 4
  • Time:
    • Registration opens: 3:30 pm
    • Alpine inspection open: 4:30 pm
    • Skimo inspection open: 5:30 pm
    • Alpine race starts: 5:00 pm
    • Skimo race starts: 6:30 pm
  • Location: Utah Olympic Park
  • Alpine format: Dual modified GS (roughly 18-20 meters between gates)
  • Skimo format: Number of laps per set time. On 1/24, there will be a 30 minute window to ski as many laps as possible.

Registration Info:

  • If you already have a Playmetrics "Player" account, register here!
  • If you have a Playmetrics account but have not previously registered yourself for a program, you'll need to add yourself as a "Player." To add yourself, go to the Playmetrics "Club Programs" tab, click "Add Players," enter your info and then click "Add Player." Then look for the "2025 Town Series" registration and sign up!
  • If you don't have a Playmetrics account, you'll need to create an account, add yourself as a Player as described above, and use the "Club Programs" tab to register for the "2025 Town Series"!

Alpine Team Rules & Scoring:

  • Teams must consist of 4 individual members
  • At least 1 team member must be female
  • The total time of all 4 members will be the team's time. All 4 members must finish in order to get a team time.
  • Teams are welcome to switch members. Please email Jackie (jwilkinson@parkcityss.org) before 9:00 am the day of the race to make changes. All racers MUST fill out a waiver.

Alpine Awards:

Awards will be presented 15-20 minutes after the last racer finishes. Awards will be given to the top 3 racers per gender in the following age classes:

  • U14 (age 13 and under)
  • U21 (age 14-20)
  • U40 (age 21-39)
  • U50 (age 40-49)
  • 50+ 

The winning team will also be announced nightly!

Series Awards:

Awards will be presented to the top 3 overall alpine racers per gender in the age classes listed above on April 4. For skimo, awards will be given to the overall winner per gender in the age classes above. To calculate overall place, all 5 race results will be added together using World Cup scoring system.

Awards will also be presented to the top 3 overall alpine teams. Teams are required to meet the criteria listed above. Team scores are calculated using World Cup scoring system of all 5 races.
