Placement Day allows PCSS Alpine to evaluate the basic elements of an athlete's current ski skill set. Through the assessment process, PCSS is assuring the best placement within our structure, or those of other community programs, to promote skill growth and achieve personal goals. Participants will be evaluated on the following 5 skiing skills (see adjacent videos):
It is recommended that athletes use an appropriately sized SL or GS cut race ski that they are comfortable with for this assessment.
*All athletes will be required to have a pass to access to the resort/venue; PCSS will offer the Assessment at no charge to the athletes.
Spring Ski Up (placement day) is targeted for this April 6 at PCMR.
Attendance to the PCSS Alpine Placement Day does not guarantee programming within PCSS Alpine. The best-suited programming recommendations will be stated following the event.
