Off Snow Summer Camps

PCSS offers the following week-long, off-snow camps:

Air Camp

This 5-day camp is geared towards athletes age 7-12 who are looking for a multi-sport, week-long, summer camp to help progress their jumping and air awareness skills.  The camp includes 2 days of jumping into the Olympic training pool at the Utah Olympic Park, 2 days of Nordic jumping and  “air” incorporated activity day, the UOP ropes course, zip lines and drop tower. Each day will also include an hour long session on the trampolines to help gain confidence and become more comfortable while in the air.

  • Weeks Offered: June 22nd-26th, July 6th-10th, July 20th-24th and August 10th-14th 
  • Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:45am-4:00pm
  • Ages: 7-12 years
  • Skill Requirement: Intermediate Skiing 
  • Participant Maximum: 10
  • Cost: $450 (Includes UOP daily facility passes)

Mountain Biking

Park City has 400 miles of trails, come experience the joy of the mountains through biking with passionate PCSS Coaches. The perfect cross training for our winter programs of the same focus and caliber. Our Mountain Bike Program is offered in 2 formats which allows you the flexibility to choose what works best for your athlete.

  • Dates: Jun 15 - Aug 7
  • Schedule: Mon - Thurs, 9:00am-12:00pm
  • Ages: 8+ years
  • Cost: $180 per session 
Session Options
  • Week Long Camps (4 consecutive days) - Weekly camps offer a sample of the different aspects of mountain biking. 2 days of XC trails, 1 day skill focus, and 1 day gravity focus
  • Once a Week (4 days, 1 day per week)  - Allows a focused approach on the style of riding that your athlete prefers. For example choose Mondays and you will get 4 XC training sessions, choose Thursdays and you will get 4 gravity sessions at Woodward.
Schedule Details
  • Mondays 9:00am-12:00pm - Training will begin and end at the Park City Mountain Resort. XC trails focus.
  • Tuesdays 9:00am-12:00pm - Training will begin and end at Trailside Bike Park. Bike handling and skills focus. Gravity fundamentals focus.
  • Wednesdays 9:00am-12:00pm - Training will begin and end at the Utah Olympic Park. XC trails focus.
  • Thursdays 10:00am-2:00pm - Training will begin and end at Woodward Gravity fundamentals focus. Woodward Membership or Daily Lift Access Pass is required but not included, we can offer a 20% discount code to Woodward.

NOTE: All Programs will begin and end with a bicycle/equipment safety check and Warm-up/Cool-down routine. Rides and training will be led by PCSS trained and First Aid certified coaches with the help of assistant coaches.

Training Groups
  • Level 1: Braking, shifting gears, getting on and off the bike safely, basic body positions (level pedals, chicken elbows), balance, vision. Rides include various routes in the surrounding Park City area
  • Level 2: More body position, negotiating turns and small drops, more balance, getting on and off the bike safely in a pinch. Rides include variations of more challenging terrain and features.
  • Level 3: Body position fore, aft, center. Jump set and flight control, negotiating hairpin turns and drops, more balance, cornering, moving the bike beneath you, line choice.
Bikes & Equipment

Having the appropriate equipment is the most important part of the learning experience. We suggest taking your bike to a local bike shop for a tune before your camp begins. We recommend bikes with at least 9 gears in the rear derailleur, disc brakes, and a front fork with at least 100mm of travel. It is important to come prepared  for your ride. Well maintained bikes, protection, water, and proper snacks to maintain energy are vital to make the experience.  This is a learning environment and coming prepared will make all the difference in what you get out of your training.

  • Layering pieces (rain jacket, long sleeve jersey, etc.)
  • Protection - Full Face Helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, on gravity days

  • Energy Gels, Energy Gummies
  • Ham or Turkey Sandwich

Skateboard Camp


This is a summer skateboard program aimed at getting younger riders outside and participating in sport specific cross training activity.  This camp offers 16hr/week.

  • Dates: Weekly* from Jun 15 - Aug 7
  • Schedule: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 10:00am-1:30pm
  • Ages: 7+ years
  • Skill Requirement: Basic skateboarding abilities
  • *Participant Maximum: 12 per week
  • Cost: $170 per week

*Camp must have at least 3 participants registered 2 weeks prior to camp start date.  If this number is not reached, registrants will be contacted and receive a full refund.

Camp Specifics

We will meet at Woodward each scheduled day Mon/Tue/Thurs/Fri.  Helmets are mandatory and not provided. Also, many also like other pads and is a personal preference. Kids must bring water, snacks, and lunch.  Pick up at Woodward.

Camp Goals

Provide a safe, fun and structured learning environment for a variety of skill and experience levels. Basic comfort on a skateboard is all that is required and a willingness to learn. Promote skill specific cross-training for the upcoming season (balance/timing/pumping/ankle and knee flexion/specific skateboard skills and tricks as appropriate)

  • Woodward has a $10 fee for missed advanced booked sessions, so cancel booked sessions minimum 24 in advance!

Sugar Glider Camp

Image result for summer HS10 meter jump park cityJoin us for a week to help build your athletic skills in a fun and inclusive Nordic Environment. We will focus on the A, B, C’S of athletics during the morning as well as learn how to ski jump on or small Nordic jumps with our experienced coaches.  Camper must have alpine boots and a helmet.

  • Dates: July 6-9, July 13-16, August 10-13 (Choose 1+ weeks)
  • Schedule: Mon-Thurs, 8:00am-1:00pm
  • Ages: 8-12 years
  • Skill Requirement: Intermediate skiing, Independent equipment management
  • Participant Maximum: 15
  • Cost: $345 (UOP day passes included)

Water Ramping Camp

This 5-day camp is for skiers or snowboarders ages 8-17 looking for a week long camp experience where they can learn new tricks and progress their jumping skills all in the safety of the Utah Olympic Park's Olympic training pool.  Each week of camp consists of 4 full days of water ramping and trampoline training with some of the best coaches Park City Ski and Snowboard has to offer. The camp also includes one “rest day” on Wednesdays where participants will get to experience all the rides, drop tower, zip lines and adventure courses at the Utah Olympic Park. 

  • Weeks Offered: June 22th - Aug 14th
  • Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:45am - 4:00pm
  • Ages: 8-17 years
  • Skill Requirement: Intermediate Skiing or Snowboarding
  • Participant Maximum: 10
  • Cost: $750 (Includes 4 days of UOP pool passes & gold pass for rides)
