Winter 2018/19 Alpine Programs 2018-19

OUR PURPOSE

Athletic participation helps our students grow, learn, and enjoy themselves while they use and develop their personal, physical, and intellectual skills.  We value the lessons that are being taught by athletic participation: the pursuit of excellence through personal development and teamwork, ethical and responsible behavior on and off the hill, adherence to rules, leadership and strength of character, and sportsmanship – respect for one’s opponents, acceptance of victory with humility, and acknowledgement of defeat with grace.  The athletic goals of the program are measured by winning at every level of the USSA divisional, national and international alpine pipeline.  In addition to providing all of Park City’s youth with appropriate alpine sport opportunities.

** New athletes to the program are subject to a ski assessment prior to registration **

Alpine Registration closes on November 15th. Please contact the office with questions and/or to be placed on a waiting list.

Multi-Sport Add-On's

For the 2018/19 winter season, we're encouraging our youngest age groups to explore multi-sport programs.

These programs combine a core program with an add-on program:

  • Core alpine ski programs: Devo "Fundamental 1" & Intro "Fundamental 2".
  • Add-on program opportunities: XC Kickers & Gliders and/or Ski Jumping Level 1

Winter registration for Alpine Devo and Alpine Intro will open after Assessment Day on December 1st.

The add-on nordic programs are limited in size and may no longer have capacity in December.  If you are interested in these add-on's, we encourage you to enroll now pending the outcome of your athlete's alpine assessment.

If you would like to create a unique, personalized multi-sport program for your young athlete, you can do so by mixing and matching programs from different PCSS sports programs.  Please double-check for schedule conflicts, in particular for weekday schedules and, also, please stay within the Long-Term Development Model guidelines - see the "Resources" tab for more information.

If you have any questions, please contact us.
